EDINA, MN – February 1, 2018 – Joseph P. Beckman, a business and corporate attorney at Hellmuth & Johnson, has been selected to serve on the Executive Committee for the Minnesota Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board.
Beckman was first appointed to the board by the Minnesota Supreme Court in 2014 and was reappointed for a second term in 2017. His added responsibility on the Executive Committee is effective today, February 1, 2018.
The Minnesota Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board supervises the administration of the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility and the Rules on Lawyers Professional Responsibility, often referred to as the ethics rules for lawyers. It also oversees and administers Minnesota’s attorney discipline system. The board consists of 13 lawyers and nine nonlawyers.
