Hellmuth & Johnson attorneys selected to the 2014 Rising Stars List
Hellmuth & Johnson is proud to announce that attorneys Christopher Jones, Carol Moss, Brian Niemczyk and KrisAnn Norby-Jahner have been selected to the 2014 Minnesota Rising Stars list. To be eligible for inclusion in the Rising Stars list, an attorney must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of Minnesota lawyers are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
Chris Jones is a partner at the firm and a member of the real estate, construction and litigation practice groups. Chris’s clients include contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, business owners and property owners who are involved in a variety of transactional matters and disputes. He represents his clients in mediations, arbitrations and district court actions regarding mechanic's liens, construction defect disputes and other business and commercial matters. Chris is the past president and current Board Member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, Minnesota Chapter (NARI-MN), and serves as Vice Chair of the City of Savage Planning Commission. Chris is licensed to practice in the states of Minnesota and North Dakota.
Carol Moss is a litigator who demonstrates her array of skills through her thorough knowledge of the law, strong analytical skills, and a deep commitment to advocating for her clients. Carol represents businesses and individuals in state and federal courts throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. She is also former Chair of the City of Robbinsdale Human Rights Commission, which helps promote the goals of equal human rights. She also provides pro bono legal work for victims of domestic violence.
Brian Niemczyk practices with the firm's litigation group and focuses on employment law, commercial litigation, landlord-tenant litigation and real estate litigation. Drawing on experience in all aspects of litigation, including substantial courtroom and appellate work, he represents a wide range of businesses and individuals involved in diverse real estate and commercial disputes. Brian speaks regularly before the Minnesota Multi Housing Association, an industry group of landlords, and serves on their professional education board.
KrisAnn Norby-Jahner serves “of counsel” to Hellmuth & Johnson, providing litigation services to both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of matters. She focuses her practice primarily on ERISA litigation, employment litigation, and unemployment benefits. In her ERISA litigation practice, KrisAnn represents plaintiffs during the appeal process for their long-term and short-term disability benefits. KrisAnn has also been involved in a variety of employment cases, providing full legal representation for both employers and employees.
