“I love litigating because of the challenge, the complexity, and that ‘aha’ moment when you assemble all the puzzle pieces in just the right strategy to achieve your client's goals.”

Whether working with business or individuals, Carol brings a formidable array of talents to the litigation practice group. They include a thorough knowledge of the law, strong analytical skills, and a deep commitment to advocating for her clients and protecting their interests in areas including:

  • Business litigation
  • Banking & finance
  • Mortgage loan repurchases and indemnification litigation
  • Personal injury and medical malpractice

“No two cases are alike and you must also think outside the box,” she explains. “As a litigator I focus on a wide variety of legal issues for clients including businesses, organizations and individuals, all of whom require strategies tailored to their unique needs. Developing ethically grounded solutions that not only meet my clients’ needs but exceed their expectations is tremendously satisfying.”

Carol derives satisfaction from other quarters as well. She believes that attorneys have a moral responsibility to use their skills for the benefit of others. She puts that obligation into action as Chair of the City of Robbinsdale Human Rights Commission, which helps promote the goals of equal human rights, and also provides pro bono legal work for victims of domestic violence.

In recognition of her work for clients and the larger community, Carol has been named both a “Rising Star” every year from 2012 to 2017 and “Up & Coming Attorney” in 2010.

Carol is licensed to practice law in the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, and North Dakota, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Districts of Minnesota, Eastern District of Wisconsin, and North Dakota.

Carol earned her Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law). At Hamline University, she earned the Presidential Scholarship and was on the Dean's List. She was on the Board of Editors for the Hamline Law Review and authored the case note, You Do Know What You're Doing? Right, Doc? Minnesota Supreme Court Contemplates Negligent Credentialing and Privileging, 30 Hamline L. Rev. 125 (2007).

  • Selected as a 2010 “Up & Coming Attorney” by Minnesota Lawyer. This award honors attorneys who have been in practice for ten years or less, and who have distinguished themselves by their professional accomplishments, leadership, and service to the community.
  • Named a Rising Star attorney 2012 - 2017.
  • Named a Member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association, Minnesota Association for Justice, Wisconsin Association for Justice, North Dakota Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice.
  • Authored articles for the Minnesota Association for Justice and the Minnesota State Bar Association.
  • Chaired the City of Robbinsdale Human Rights Commission, which helps promote the goals of equal human rights, and she also provides pro bono legal work for victims of domestic violence.
