In his practice, Ed represents businesses, property owners and entrepreneurs. He writes contracts for businesses and pursues litigation arising from contracts. Ed’s representation of the business community includes a focus on I-9 compliance to ensure his clients are compliant with federal mandates. He also represents property owners with their insurance claims.
Ed has clients from Minnesota, where he maintains an office, as well as immigrant entrepreneurs from countries such as Thailand, China, Switzerland and Mexico. His business clientele includes software developers, fitness companies, builders, advertising/marketing firms, photographers and other companies that are the engine of America’s economy.
As an attorney with a dual focus in litigation and transaction-related matters, Ed brings uncommon agility and breadth of experience to his cases. He has litigated disputes in the aviation, construction, energy and reinsurance sectors among many others. He also enforces non-compete agreements, obtains damages due to breach of contract, holds parties accountable for bad faith, and finds remedies for incomplete or negligent work.
Cultivating close client relationships is extremely important. “You do that by upholding your fiduciary responsibility, by being accessible and responsive, and doing everything possible to justify their trust,” he explains. “It’s important because the greater the connection between attorney and client, the greater the likelihood of achieving a desirable result.”

Ed obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota in 1996, and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1999.
