“I love the competitive nature of litigation. The strategy and back and forth process that goes into resolving a dispute favorably allows me to fill that competitive void that all former athletes have.”

Ryan is a litigation attorney who represents contractors, developers, property owners and business owners. He also assists individuals and corporations in product liability and medical malpractice matters. Ryan strives to resolve each of his client's disputes favorably short of litigation, but when litigation is unavoidable he works tirelessly to resolve it in a quick and cost-effective manner.

Prior to joining H&J, Ryan represented plaintiffs and defendants property damage, multi-party construction, insurance coverage, and product liability litigation. He also has experience in other areas including: antitrust, class actions, personal injury, real estate, wrongful death, business litigation, employment litigation, and shareholder disputes. Ryan is also a Minnesota Rule 114 Qualified Neutral.

Clients value Ryan’s honesty and competitive nature when they find themselves in an unfortunate position, often through no fault of their own. With his breadth of experience as an attorney, Ryan is in a unique position to help these clients achieve a favorable result. Not everyone is wired to be a litigator. It can be stressful and the prospect of positive resolution can be bleak at times. Ryan relishes these challenges and strives to make the process as stress-free as possible for his clients.

Ryan is licensed to practice in the Minnesota State and Federal courts.

Education

Ryan graduated cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and was on the Dean's Honor List. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
