“A background in sales prepared me for every adversary. My ability to quickly read a situation and determine the necessary tone, language, and assurances to effectively communicate and persuade is invaluable in this field. I am fortunate to have a career where I can sell my clients’ positions every day.”

Paige Fishman is an attorney with Hellmuth & Johnson’s general litigation department. She has prior experience in workers’ compensation defense, appellate practice, employment litigation, consumer protection class actions, and criminal prosecution.

Paige has worked as a law clerk for the Washington County Attorney’s Office in the criminal division, for a mid-size Minneapolis workers’ compensation defense firm, and a boutique Minneapolis employment and consumer protection class action firm.  Before law school, Paige earned paralegal and criminal justice degrees, graduated with honors, and maintained a career in sales.

Paige graduated summa cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. During law school, Paige was an Assistant Editor on law review and participated in local and national moot courts. Paige won the Rosalie Wahl Moot Court Competition after successfully arguing before former Justices of the Minnesota Supreme Court. Based on this performance, Paige was selected to participate in the New York City Bar Association National Moot Court Competition. Paige was elected to be responsible for arguing both sides of an evidentiary issue and, as a result, argued every round in the National Competition. Paige and her teammates won the regional competition and received the overall award for Best Brief. In New York City, her team advanced to the quarter-final round and received the honor for Best Petitioner Brief.

“I welcome and thrive on the challenge involved in knowing my audience. Whether it is in motion practice, negotiations, or arguing before a court, I am constantly learning how to most effectively communicate with my audience to achieve the best outcome for my clients.”
