Drawing on almost 17 years of experience, Beth Wiberg Barbosa represents clients across the spectrum of family law, from complex property division and spousal maintenance to custody, parenting time, child support, antenuptial agreements and post decree actions. Most recently she has focused her practice on complex high marital asset cases that draw on her ability to strategically engage experts such as financial neutrals, business appraisers, real estate appraisers and others to protect and advance her clients’ interests. “Regardless of each case’s particulars,” explains Beth, “my goal is to ensure that the parties can move forward with dignity and grace after the proceeding has wrapped up.”
Both an accomplished litigation attorney and expert negotiator, Beth leverages deep professional experience and rigorous training, including skills honed at the Harvard Negotiation Institute. She is also a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice, and a credentialed Parenting Time Expeditor.
In acknowledgment of her expertise and community standing, the Executive Director of the Minnesota State Bar Association appointed Beth to the Family Law Form Committee, where she was the main contributor to revising the family law forms used by other attorneys. She is also a frequent presenter at Continuing Legal Education events, has experience as a Guardian Ad Litem and mediator, and currently serves on the Minnesota State Bar Association’s District Ethics Committee. Currently, Beth is presenting at the Second Saturday Program in Inver Grove Heights on the second Saturday of every month. This program focuses on divorce, more specifically the financial aspect of divorce. For more information on this program click here.
