Tony Smith is a member of the firm's Business and Litigation Practice Groups, where he represents a range of business entities and individuals. Specifically, his practice is focused on the following areas:

• Commercial litigation, including intellectual property disputes
• Construction litigation
• Medical malpractice and personal injury

As a plaintiff’s trial lawyer, Tony believes that a case that is ready for trial is a case that is ready to settle.  His practice is built around this concept, and it delivers results. Tony brings this practical approach to his clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters in the state and federal courts of Minnesota. His clients include homeowners in construction defect disputes, plaintiffs in contract and other commercial disputes including intellectual property disputes, and plaintiffs with catastrophic personal injuries.

Licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of Minnesota, he is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and a frequent speaker at seminars on construction litigation related issues.

From 2007-2009, Tony was named to the "Rising Star" list by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine, represented among the top 2.5% of young attorneys in the state. 

He obtained his J.D. from the University of Minnesota, and graduated summa cum laude from Hamline University with a B.A. in sociology.
