Kurt M. Mitchell is a member of the firm's litigation group, concentrating in the areas of commercial and civil litigation. Kurt primarily represents individuals and business entities involved in construction and commercial disputes, and property owners in construction defect litigation.

Mitchell's experience includes complex business and real estate matters, product liability, and insurance defense litigation.

Licensed to practice law in the state courts of Minnesota, Mitchell is also admitted to practice in Montana, Oregon and Washington. He is a member of the Minnesota, Montana, Oregon and Washington State Bar Associations.

A former public defender for the State of Washington, Mitchell served as a law clerk to United States District Court Judge Alan A. McDonald, Eastern District of Washington. More recently, he clerked for United States District Court Judge Jack D. Shanstrom, District of Montana.

Mitchell obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Oregon's Willamette University College of Law in 1988, and graduated from Pomona College in California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1984.




PRACTICING WINNING LAW
Despite statute of limitations hurdles, Kurt recently obtained a settlement in excess of $800,000 on behalf of a major entertainment complex with significant construction defect issues.
