| Kathleen M. Loucks is a member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group, where she represents both businesses and individuals in a broad variety of litigation matters. Kathleen focuses her practice in the following areas:
- General civil litigation
- Construction litigation
- Medical malpractice and personal injury
A former prosecutor and civil litigator for more than six years, Kathleen brings aggressive representation to all of her clients at the state, federal, and appellate levels.
In her civil and construction practice, she represents homeowners with construction defect claims, and contractors with a range of litigation issues. In addition, she zealously represents families and individuals injured by medical malpractice or catastrophic injury.
In 2006, 2007 and 2008, Kathleen was named to the "Rising Star" list by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine, representing the top 2.5% of young attorneys in the state. As an adjunct instructor at Hamline University School of Law, she is co-teaching the course "Wrongful Convictions" for the current year.
She is on the Advisory Board for the Minnesota Innocence Project, a member of the American Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association, Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, Minnesota Women Lawyers Association, and the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association.
Kathleen is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Minnesota and Iowa, and the U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota. She obtained her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and her B.A. from the University of Minnesota.
