Shane has also developed substantial experience representing both local and national healthcare related companies in their M&A and general transactional related needs. In the healthcare field, he has been involved in transactions with TPA's, UR/UM providers, PBM's, PPO's and other healthcare service providers across the country.
He began his business and financial experience while practicing as a Certified Public Accountant, specializing in audit services. He then combined a Masters in Business Administration with a traditional legal education. After completing his post-graduate education, he practiced with several large “downtown” Minneapolis law firms. During these thirteen years, he gained substantial experience in all aspects of a general corporate and business transactional practice. Shane also served as vice president and associate general counsel to a national healthcare company headquartered in Minneapolis before returning to private practice.
Shane is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of Minnesota, and is a member of the Minnesota and Hennepin County Bar Associations. Shane was named to the Minnesota Law & Politics' Rising Star list in 1998. He is a frequent presenter of business and corporate law topics, which include business reorganizations, acquisitions and divestitures.
He earned his J.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law, where he received Sterling Honors for graduating second in his class. He served as Managing Editor of the South Dakota Law Review. Shane earned his M.B.A. from the University of South Dakota School of Business, where he completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting. He was admitted to the Beta Gamma Sigma international honors society, and was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1983. |
