David G. Hellmuth is a founding partner of Hellmuth & Johnson, PLLC. He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial real estate and construction, condominium and townhouse law, business and corporate law, creditor’s rights and remedies, banking law and secured transactions, and general civil litigation.

Hellmuth primarily represents corporations and business entities, builders and developers, community associations, lenders, banks, finance companies, collection agencies, and creditors.

Hellmuth is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts in Minnesota. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, participating in the Real Property, Debtor/Creditor, Corporate/Business and Civil Litigation Sections, and the Hennepin County Bar Association.

Hellmuth is the co-editor and contributing author of the quarterly publication The Authority on Community Associations. He has served on the Board of organizations including CAI and the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce, and was named the Chamber's 2006 "Small Businessperson of the Year". For four consecutive years (2005-2008), Hellmuth has been named a "Super Lawyer", recognized among the top 5% of Minnesota attorneys by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine.

Hellmuth obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul , Minnesota , graduating cum laude. Hellmuth completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis , Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
