Craig Baune is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Construction and Lien Law practice groups, where he represents property owners, contractors, subcontractors, business owners and others. Craig’s practice focuses primarily on the following areas:
- Construction litigation
- Real estate litigation
- Business and commercial litigation
Craig was an associate at a large Twin Cities firm prior to coming to Hellmuth & Johnson, and has gained valuable experience in a wide variety of disputes, including construction defect litigation, mechanic’s lien and construction bond claims, zoning and land use disputes, appeals, shareholder oppression cases and breach of contract claims.
Craig believes that preparation and communication are crucial to achieving a successful result. By listening to clients, he is able to focus on each client’s goals to achieve the best outcome for that client. By diligently preparing cases right from the start, Craig has been able to successfully resolve cases through early mediation or aggressive motion practice and help clients avoid or minimize the impact of potentially damaging claims.
Craig joined Hellmuth & Johnson in 2009. He obtained his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, graduating Cum Laude, after completing his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota. Craig is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts in Minnesota and is a member of the Construction Law section of the Hennepin County Bar Association. |
