Tim L. Droel is a partner with the firm and chair of the Multi-Jurisdictional Practice Group. Tim believes that the practice of law is not just about providing legal services - it's about people, companies and relationships.
Tim represents individuals as well as small to large private and publicly traded companies. He represents these clients across the United States and Canada on a variety of legal issues, retaining local counsel to assist him and his Multi-Jurisdictional Practice Group when necessary.
In particular, Tim represents these business entities and individuals in the areas of:
- Business Law
- Commercial litigation
- Construction law
- Real Estate law
In the area of business law and commercial litigation, Tim primarily represents individuals and/or business entities involved in complex business transactions and disputes.
In the area of construction law, Tim primarily represents owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, labor unions and material suppliers in mediations, arbitrations, and district court actions. He also drafts, interprets and negotiates construction contracts, and further helps clients with bond, labor, licensing and, sales and use tax issues. Most notably, he represents owners, developers, and general contractors who are engaged in building projects across the United States and Canada.
In the area of real estate law, Tim helps his clients with small to large real estate transactions, including, but not limited to, negotiations, contracts and financing arrangements.

Tim is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Minnesota, South Dakota and Texas. He is also licensed to practice law in the federal courts of Minnesota and Colorado, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
He obtained his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls with a B.S. in Business Administration.
