Michael J. McNamara is a member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group and Insurance Practice Group. Michael's practice is focused in:
- Insurance defense and appeals
- Coverage analysis
- Personal injury and property claims
- Construction defects
- Commercial litigation
Michael has a broad litigation experience that has taken him across his home state of Minnesota several times over in the pursuit of justice for his clients. Not only is Michael's practice varied geographically, Michael has also litigated claims across a number of practice areas including employment disputes, corporate dissolution disputes, premises liability, construction claims, products liability, commercial contracts, personal injury, toxic torts, and professional liability. This diverse experience gives Michael the background to see and address all issues that may arise in the course of litigation to make sure his clients are fully protected.
Michael is extremely passionate about his representation of clients. He understands that litigation's impact is more than a financial consideration; that litigation's impact upon one's reputation and integrity can be far more important. He strives to make sure that every case he undertakes, no matter how big or how small, is pursued with vigor and determination.
Licensed to practice law in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the United States District of Minnesota, Michael is a member of the Minnesota Bar Association as well as the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association. Michael has spoken on litigation techniques in the community and as an Adjunct Professor at William Mitchell College of Law where he teaches classes in Advanced Advocacy and Legal Practicum. In his free time he loves camping up north, fishing, golfing and watching college basketball.
Michael received a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Madison where he majored in Finance with an International Business Specialization. He received his Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law and was awarded the Volunteer Achievement Award from the Minnesota Justice Foundation.
