Kip R. Peterson is an attorney with Hellmuth & Johnson, PLLC and concentrates his practice in the area of general business and corporate law, including entity selection and formation, mergers and acquisitions, and the drafting and review of business-related contracts.
Kip represents privately-held businesses of all sizes and across all industries. He serves as general counsel for his clients and enjoys finding creative and effective solutions for day-to-day matters and novel legal issues alike. Kip is a co-author of the Minnesota Contracts Deskbook and has presented seminars on contract drafting and review, representing small businesses, and ethical considerations for corporate counsel.
An avid outdoorsman, Kip is a member of the board of directors for Metro Area Pheasants Forever, as well as a certified firearm safety instructor. He is also a member of Street Legal Motorcycle Club and rides thousands of miles each year throughout the Midwest.
Licensed to practice law in the State and Federal courts in Minnesota, Kip is a member of the Business Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association. He obtained his J.D. from the University of St. Thomas, where he was recognized as a President’s Scholar and was awarded the Dean’s Award in both Negotiation and Trial Advocacy. He received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in History and Political Science.
